Memorandum of Understanding | Iran's electric buses join the urban transport fleet to eliminate the need for transportation of imported products

A memorandum of understanding was signed for the production of Iranian electric buses, construction, and presentation to the city fleet in the presence of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology and the Mayor of Mashhad.

The introduction of advanced technologies in the field of transportation, especially in urban transportation, has played a significant and rapid role. New technologies in this area, while helping to reduce costs, pollution, and energy constraints, provide more efficient and healthier services to the community. Knowledge-based companies have also entered the field of advanced transportation and have the ability to technology the field of intra-city transportation. However, the ground must be paved for the innovations of this ecosystem to enter the urban transport fleet to see progress in this area.

 Based on this necessity, today, in the presence of Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology, and Mohammad Reza Kalani, Mayor of Mashhad, a memorandum of understanding was signed for the development of Bordafza buses, with the participation of a technology company active in this field. A memorandum under which, with the support of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, the production of a prototype of an electric bus will be put on the agenda to pave the way for the entry of indigenous technologies into urban transport.

This memorandum of cooperation was signed by Manouchehr Manteghi, Secretary of the Space Technology and Advanced Transportation Development Headquarters, and Vahid Esfahanian, CEO of Ofogh University Innovative Energy Company, so that urban areas can witness the presence of an advanced and Made in Iran vehicle and the country's need for imports and other technologies. Indigenous to be supplied within the country.

For the proper implementation of this memorandum, the Strategic Committee with the presence of representatives of Mashhad Municipality, representatives of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology will cooperate with goals such as guiding policy, setting quantitative and qualitative goals, implementation methods, monitoring cooperation, and developing interactions to implement decisions. Also, with the cooperation of the said steering committee, the progress of the Memorandum of Understanding will be continuously monitored while publishing a quarterly report.

 Facilitation costs in the field of advanced transportation will be provided by the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology and the Municipality of Mashhad, and the Steering Committee will follow up and monitor the issues of the Memorandum of Understanding based on the submitted proposals, how and how much credit is required.
